Hi Everybody,
my name is Bernadette but nobody calls me
that unless I'm getting carded or pulled over.
All my friends call me Bernie.
I live in San Diego and love the slower pace,
the sun and beach breezes on my skin.
I bop all over town looking in
thrift stores and antique malls trying to find the next
perfect dress or accessory or maybe an old magazine
with pin-ups and glamour pictures to study the hair, the make-up.
I've studied vintage glamour make-up & hair for years
and even and got my cosmetology license.
I never thought of myself as a pin-up until
I was doing hair, wardrobe & make-up on a photo shoot
for Danielle Bedics of whiterabbitstudio.com website
and she suggested that I try a night in front
of the camera and boy,
I've hardly had a chance to do make-up for the
wonderful models that I've come to know
and work with because I'm doing
modeling myself.

Now here I am as a pin-up model.
I'm not tall (only 5.2) and I've got a
womanly shape on a petite body but hey!
they boys seem to like it! I love to
do little dances around the house while
I'm playing my rockabilly music.
I love everything that has style but love the 50's the most.
Some of the people who inspire me are
Lana Landis, Jean Harlow, Bettie Page, Bettie Davis,
Carina Acevedo, oh i could go on &on...
I think I should be the "pin up muse of the year"
because it would make me
so happy to win respect as a model.
It gives me pleasure to know that men
are fascinated while looking at my pin ups.
I'm having lots of fun and I guess it shows.

I'd like to look back and say, "2003,
that was the year
I was pin up muse of the year and
Vinylya did one of her famous pencil drawings
that I still have framed in my mansion".
One wing of the mansion would be
set aside for costume changes,
pin up photo shoots and artists to paint and
draw the women's form in the true
American art form, the pin up.
If I don't win I probably won't have a mansion
either but at least I'm having a good
time trying!
