The play is constructed within a surreal dimension that also has much in common with reality. Arthur, who is living a dull life as a clerk, dreams of becoming a writer. In fact, he is working on a novel, without much success, with his secretary, Carmen. Suddenly a strange, incredible event occurs. His body goes through a sudden transformation, an anomaly destined to change his life. At first the man appears to be destroyed by the absurd event but then, urged on by a speculator without scruples, Blowhard , a mad painter called Dili ... and Carmen, he decides to exploit his anomaly and, as a result, becomes rich and powerful.
